news

uz uz uz, si budem kupovat pocitac, velmi skoro, a potom bude kopec krasnych fotiek. oops english

I don`t have much time right now. Too busy at the moment. I just want to tell you all that I moved from walthamstow, away from the agency, away from that filthy house full of dirty pigs. Except klaudia and marek. I am now in archway and have my own nice room, with everything i need, also a small tv (i hope i won`t get addicted) and it is really close to the tube which is very convenient.

I have been to dog racing. I won £5 something. Nice, isn`t it?... It was a good new experience. Not that interesting. But we made it a bit more fun with Khan, betting not money but either our things or some personal experience and I lost so I owe Khan a few things. Well, it`s too personal to mention it here. One thing I will miss is my scarf.

I don`t know what more to say. Nothing new in my life. Still working five days a week. I have a contract from O2 finally so I can make more phone calls without spending huge amounts of money. I have my bank card finally. To those who don`t know about my bank case, I can only say that it took 2 months for the bank to send me my card and i still don`t have the pin code. At least i can use the card online. Sometimes people are just unlucky. Shit happens.

What else can I say?

MY SISTER IS COMING!!!

trip to Oxford

23rd October

We decided to go to Oxford with Khan. So.. we came around 2.30pm, looked around a bit, went to the top of Church of St. Mary the Virgin and saw all city from there. Then we had some lunch and went to the river bank for a long long walk. And that`s it. 5 and half hours. We arrived to London about nine o`clock in the evening. Nice trip.

lonely people

London is a very very big city. People are lonely, very lonely. But on the other hand they make new contacts more easily than in Slovakia. Slovaks don`t trust strangers. It is very hard to make friends there but once you have some they will stay with you.

It is normal here in London to come and address somebody, ask questions, change numbers. And forget...

I`m not here that long to judge people. This is just my first impression.

There are bad and good things about living in a big city. I can`t say what is better. It is different. My life is different. New experience.

Time is personal experience. Stay different. That is the motto of out hotel.

What happened lately? I`ve been to Slovakia. I`ve met almost all of my friends. I feel refreshed. I feel more certain about my decisions. I have some new help. Some new contacts. I`m getting used to London life again. I can say I am confused. Yeah, I am confused about my life. I need time to think. To put my London life in order.

But now, that I didn`t sleep for 30 hours, I am going straight to bed and London can wait until tommorrow. :))

life

Hello everyone.

I`m at my friend`s house and we are watching some movies. And I AM ENJOYING IT, Khan :)))

I just want to say that I am going to Bratislava for a few days and I am really looking forward to see all of you, guys. I don`t have any presents though. So don`t expect anything. Only me.

But as our teacher used to say, when one half of the genetic information gets together with another half from another set it makes a special being. And the probability of this happening in the same way is so small that we can consider it impossible. What I want to say is that I am special as everybody is in their own way, so you should be very happy to see ONLY me cause that`s enough.

I can`t wait until sunday, until I see you, people. I hope you are all reading this blog although I don`t update it very often. But I am promising again I am going to put some extracts of my personal email, so that you get a glimpse of how I live here. And the pictures will be coming soon.

I just hope I could see one person that is in North Carolina right now. The only person I know I won`t be seeing for a long time and the one person I long to see the most in the world.

LAND-RIII

So I work in a hotel owned by a sheikh from dubai. That means that in the summer there are many Arabs. They are very rich and they don`t speak english very well. Here are examples of conversations on the phone.

"Good morning, valet, Lucy speaking."
"Hello, How are you?"
"Great, thank you."
"..."
"hello??"
"ehm, ee, ouee... pliiz, cam tu mai rum."
"You have some laundry?"
"Yes."
"Yes, I`m coming."
...tut-tut-tut-tut...

"Good morning, valet, Lucy speaking."
"Hello?!?!?!...Londrii?!?!?!"
"Yes, sir, this is laundry."
"plis. cam tu mai rum."
...

And conversation in their room five minutes later.

"Hello, sir. How are you?"
"Good. How are you?"
"Fine, thank you."
...
"eee, iii, press. nau."(pointing at a pile on a bed or giving me some clothes)
"But we can`t do it now, sir. Express service is in an hour."
"An hour???!!! No. 15 minits?"
"If you need it, sir, I can do a one or two items for you in half an hour. Is that okay?"
and then he usually chooses which t-shirt he really wants to wear NAU. But one guest was very funny. He kept saying "10 minutes" and started closing the door. So I ended up shouting at him "20 minutes, no! 20 minutes" through the doors that were slowly closing in front of my face.

These rich Arabs were very funny. But almost all of them left with the summer. bhuuu buhuuu. I`m gonna miss them so much. LANDRII??

Prvy mesiac

First two weeks were very hard. I came to London with £360, spent £315 for acommodation for a month and was left with 45pounds. Luckily I got a job, each day for two hours. £6 for hour. That`s good, isn`t it? For the beginning. I was waiting until I am 18 so that I can register in an agency. Well, I registred two days before being 18, but nobody noticed. That was Monday when I registred.

I stopped working for Ida because she lived too far. I used to iron some clothes for Mr. Troy who really liked me, unfortunately I didn`t so I stopped working for him too. I didn`t like his company very much. He was a very strange man. Sometimes he was saying something and in the middle of the sentence he changed his mind and said You know, Lucy... For example he said I don`t need to take off my shoes and after 5 minutes he said You know, Lucy, rather take them off. What the... ? Well, I needed the money so I came a few times but only when I really had to.

We had so little money. Once we were coming from work with Morka (one friend I am living with) and we really had to buy something to eat, so we counted our money and it was 2.09 pounds. So we bought cheese and bread at ASDA and we were left with 25pi that we were planning to spend on choclate at Lidl, because it`s cheaper there. But the cashier made a mistake and gave us only 20pi change. When we found out we thought we`ll kill him. But it was too late. We felt so horrible then. But then we found 5pi on a cupboard at home. So everything was okay in the end.

Those were the first weeks. Now I am working in valet, that`s something like laundry, in a 5* hotel Jumeirah Carlton Tower at Knightsbridge. Knightsbridge is full of expensive shops including Harrods. Our hotel is full of Arabs from Dubai. They don`t speak english well. So sometimes they just say londeree - londeree nau. And I say we cannot do it now, you can have it only tomorrow afternoon. It`s a great job. The Arabs are really funny. Two days ago one of them gave me earings. I love getting earings. I don`t wear any jewellery, only earings. How did he know? :)

I am teaching swimming my friend from Bangladesh, Khan. I love swimming, and I love teaching it too. I told my colleague Charles about it and he said he tried learning it but somehow he can`t make it. So I`m gonna teach him too. The most important thing is to feel the water, to know how to float, not to be afraid of it. If somebody`s afraid, he breaths too fast and then he`s gonna go down.

I read a lot of books, actually I read only 5, that`s not a lot, but I am working, you know. Now I am reading God Passes By. I love Shoghi Effendi`s style. I read Busy Bahais. That`s a great book. I think I don`t have big problems with managing time and I already knew many of the things that are suggested in the book, but it helps reminding that I should do them. After maturita, the exams, when I had plenty of time, I used to plan the next day, make some goals for the day, so that I didn`t sleep too much and I actually live the day. Because when you have plenty of time, nothing to do, then you really do nothing, and I hate that.

Okay, enough for today. I promise there will be more soon.

I miss everybody who reads this post. :)
